Born and raised in Cherokee County, GA., Matt has built a career rooted in service and leadership. After playing football as a Cherokee Warrior, he pursued International Business Management at Post University. Matt has worked in the hospitality industry for the last 20 years doing everything from bussing tables, opening stores, training international teams, and managing multiple units. Outside of work, Matt cherishes spending quality time with his son making lasting memories together. Matt was drawn to Refuge Insurance Advisors when his longtime friend and former roommate, George Hillhouse Jr., presented him with the opportunity to work together once again. After years of navigating the fast-paced hospitality industry, Matt saw the value in joining a company that prioritizes people and integrity. Inspired by the strong principles set by George Sr. and the RIA team, he knew this was the right fit. Matt will be a great addition to Refuge Insurance Advisors, combining his love for connecting with people and his commitment to exceptional service. He strives to embody the RIA motto by always putting the client's needs first.
